Privacy Policy

LandingQuiz is run by Visiored ("we" or "us"), and we're responsible for your data. We collect only what we need to run the game. We don't sell your data, show ads or use tracking cookies.

Your account. Your display name, email address and password (stored hashed, so we can't read it). If you sign in with Google, we get your name, email and Google account ID instead of a password.

Your games. If you're signed in, we save your guesses, results, points, streaks and badges. If you play without an account, today's guesses are kept only in your session.

Your suggestions. If you suggest a startup, we save it with your account.

Technical stuff. Our servers record your IP address, browser type and session activity to keep you signed in and to stop abuse.

• running the game and your account;
• tracking your results, points, streaks and badges;
• showing the leaderboard;
• reviewing startup suggestions;
• stopping cheating and abuse;
• figuring out how to make LandingQuiz better;
• answering your emails.

We use your data because we need it to provide the game you signed up for, and because we have a legitimate interest in keeping LandingQuiz running, safe and improving.

Your display name, avatar, points and streaks can appear on the public leaderboard and on result cards you share. Your email is never shown.

We use DataFast to count visits. It runs without cookies and doesn't store anything on your device. We only look at totals, like page views, where visitors come from and what devices they use.

The only cookies we use are the ones the site needs to work: one that keeps you signed in and remembers today's guesses, and a security token that protects our forms. No ad or tracking cookies.

Only the services that help us run LandingQuiz, and only what they need:

• Google, if you choose to sign in with Google;
• DataFast, for cookieless analytics;
• our hosting providers, which store the data.

We never sell your data.

As long as you have an account. Session data expires on its own. If you ask us to delete your account, we'll delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable time, unless the law requires us to keep something.

You can ask us to show you, correct, delete or hand over a copy of your data, or to limit or stop how we use it. Just email us at jyri@visiored.fi and we'll get back to you within the time the law requires.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can also complain to a data protection authority, such as the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman or the one where you live.

We use encrypted connections and hashed passwords, among other reasonable measures. Still, nothing online is 100% secure, so we can't promise perfect security.

LandingQuiz isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us personal data, let us know and we'll delete it.

If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here and change the date at the top.
